Asia Art Archive zine residency

It’s hard to believe that just one year ago I was taking part in a zine residency with Asia Art Archive, along with fellow zine partners in crime Nicola Cook and Loesja Vigour.

During the residency I took part in a public talk which is now available to watch online:

It was formative experience and made me realise how much I’m still learning. Spending time with zine librarians, zine makers, and zine readers as well as artists and activists outside of my immediate zine community and outside of the library where I work was much needed. It gave me a chance to reflect and think about my position as a zine maker and as a librarian, and the responsibility of institutions to authentically engage with zine culture.
