Looking for Bruce

My new 70 page full colour comic Looking For Bruce is coming soon!

Looking for Bruce is a story of fandom, obsession, and trying to meet Bruce Springsteen. This comic adventure takes us on a road trip through New Jersey looking for the ‘real’ Bruce in the ultimate obsessive pilgrimage. It’s about the dangers of placing heroes on pedestals, the fun of daydreaming about escape, and looking for truth and meaning in a pop song.

I spent a year of my life making this comic as a way of coping with the pandemic and retreating into something creative. It’s the first thing I’ve ever made which isn’t a zine, and who knows if I’ll ever make something which is 70 pages long again so I decided to have a launch party to celebrate.

On Thursday 22nd April 7pm BST I’m hosting an online launch party and everyone is invited. I’ll be sharing extracts from the comic and showing you some of my favourite panels. There will also be special guests, zine readings, quizzes, and prizes.

Join me and my friends for an evening celebrating fandom. You don’t have to know who Bruce Springsteen is or even like his music, but if you like diy comics, fanzines, and basing your entire personality on a singular piece of pop culture then come along!
